Israel is not putting a lot of energy into battling the annual anti-Israel ritual at the UN known as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, scheduled for Monday.
Every year on this day, the UN passes a number of pro-Palestinian resolutions that blast Israel, and one diplomatic official said that Jerusalem had concluded it was useless to invest much in fighting those resolutions because of the built-in Arab and third-world majority in the General Assembly.
"We pick our battles, and this is one that, because of the numbers, we simply can't win," one senior diplomatic official said.

The UN is one big JOKE.It should pack up,get out of NYC and maybe set up shop in an anti-Israel Mideast where it would feel right at home.

Actually, it's a sad state of the world when every country on Earth votes with the Palestinians in the General Assembly, save three: America, Israel and, occasionally, Micronesia.
There is no debate. The issue is not contentious.
Peace and love and happy holidays, to all,
George in Bethlehem.

It is a sad commentary of world affairs when it is useless to debate an issue because the "deck" is stacked against one side, as it is in this case.
