Speaking at a U.N.-sponsored "peace" conference, Palestinian Prime Minister Salaam Fayad neglects to mention one small detail:
"Jerusalem is home to the third most holy place to Islam, the place where Muhammad rose to the heavens, and the place where Jesus, the Christian, was resurrected," the Palestinian leader proclaimed.
He added that Jerusalem was occupied in June 1967 and called to locate a future Palestinian state capital there.
Let's see now, isn't there another faith that holds Jerusalem as a holy place -- the holy place in this pariticular religion, in fact? What could it be?
Oh that's right, Judaism. The faith that existed thousands of years before either Islam or Christianity. Mr. Fayad, write that down.

well let's see. God gives land to abraham, hebrews occupy thier own land for a couple of thousand years, titus comes in and destroys temple and scattered isreal to the four winds and some white guy[ proably Churchill] renames isreal's land palestine. so whatever God gives , man can take away.Hm-m-m. to a securlar world this makes sense. oh yeah, we forgot about God givung the land...and we forgot about God taking the land back from the u.n. oh well, i'm sure the u.n can handle it.

For the record, Fayyad of course should have mentioned the Jews' (religious) claim to the city, which is significant.
But yes, let's criticize the prime minister for not mentioning the third religion, but we'll do it on a blog run by the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (not Muslims).
The hypocrisy--I mean--it's just too much.
For his part, he was speaking to his audience, which includes the Palestinian Christians so oft overlooked by groups such as this one.
But alas, It's a shame that the Christians who have never experienced the warmth and kindness of Muslim and Christian Palestinians fall for the kind of propaganda posted on sites such as this one.
The Christians living in the actual town where Jesus was born wonder why so many so-called Christians in America haven't joined the rest of the world in their support for Palestinian self determination. I'm one of them.
Eid Mubarak, Happy Hannakah and Merry Christmas, to all,

Shalom,
He is right when he said it is for two religions. The mistake he did is, that he said it is for Christians and Moslems, because it is for Jews and Christians only. That it is holy for the Muslims is a lie. There want only Jerusalem because its the most important city for the Jews.
Shalom

That's odd. Even the New Testament frequently mentions Jerusalem being sacred to the Jews.
How could he have missed that?
