Hanson takes on Carter
At NRO's The Corner, historian Victor Davis Hanson takes on Jimmy Carter's continued vilification of Israel:
It is hard to think of any ex-President in our history who has written and done so much to counter the official policies of his own country abroad. Of all the countries one could blame for human rights violations — Iran, Syria, the Palestinians and Hamas, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Cuba, Libya, etc. — why would he single out the only liberal democracy in the Middle East?

it would be so much easier if the palestinians just choose not to let the terrorist live among them.

I really don't rememeber much about JC's presidency as I was too young, but he seems to be a very decent man with strong values toward peace and humanity. You should be ashamed of yourselves that knock this man. I think he is of the mindset, that if you don't communicate then all is lost, and he is right. Definitely NOT anti-Semetic! Any normal peaceloving person knows Dialog is the key to ALL World Peace and understanding not just Republican understanding. The Palestinian issue is real..very real and needs to be addressed. The completed Peace of Jerusalem depends so much on Honest Sincere Dialog by all parties. He may not speak for all of us, and we may not all agree with him, but at least this man has the guts and the tanacity to speak out for humanity and peace. Think back-now think real hard!! When was the last time you picked up a hammer and nails and with the sweat of your brow built a house for a poor person.

When Carter was president he clearly leaned toward the Arabs and there were subtle indications that he was anti-semitic. Now he is blatantly so. Sincerely yours, Lawrence Minsky DVM.

The question was raised as to why, with all the countries who do abuse Human Rights, does he pick on Israel, the only liberal Democracy in the Middle East. The reason is simple. While he was President he leaned toward the Arabs and there were subtle indications that he was anti-semitic. Now he is blatantly so. so.Sincerely yours, Lawrence Minsky DVM.

I don't understand Carter's logic and am so glad he is no longer president. Why doesn't he just stick to Habitat for Humanity? With HfH he is doing a lot of good.
