Tel Avivans show solidarity with Sderot

Amid all the bad news coming out of Sderot, there are uplifting stories like this -- 200 residents of Tel Aviv took a trip to Sderot to do their shopping for Shabbat, providing a much-needed economic shot in the arm to the beleaguered city. One of the organizers of the shopping trip explains:

"We felt the need to do something to help the economic activity in [Sderot], even a little bit, and to strengthen them. We began promoting this through word to mouth and the response was amazing."

And what do the business owners have to say? Yehuda Cohen, the owner of a small supermarket in Sderot, said that "what happened here today was a miracle. I haven’t seen so many customers here in over a year.

"This is heartwarming and so exciting. I know that thanks to these good people I will be able to provide for myself for this month at least, pay the salaries of my two employees and even pay the electricity bill. There are good people in this nation. I ma so happy they came here. It's almost a miracle for me."

blessing to jerusalem ,happy is zion. rabbi yechiel eckstein the new testament say to have a decerning spirit and a correct understanding of the of the lord Yeshua. paul in cor. say that the foolish thing of the gentile will envy the jewish nation . the almighty spoke to isael and said that because my people cause me to be angry that i will cause the nation to be envy of the gentile ways of worshiping the lord. can you teach on this more and yeshua name should we say jesus or yeshua.

dear rabbi yechiel eckstein i read your article on feb.21,2008 on the spiritual treasures of the sabbath. i have friend that attain services on the sabbath, and aways with respect say that it the ture day of worship. that is true, amen, amen, amen. so if we know that to be true the calender that is use world wide is the gregorian calender and not the jewish calender. are there some differ in how the days of the week fall in a celestra cycle of time . one year to the roman is 365 and the the jewish calender 360 day. this is a serious concern for all who love jesus(yeshua). because we dont want to mess the feast of the tablenacle.

Dear Stand for Israel:

I love Israel with all my heart. Praise the Lord for His favor on Israel, and the victories He gives Israel. I also loved watching Journey To Zion, where Rabbi Eckstein taught us about the Spiritual Treasures of the Sabbath. I am looking forward to learning more about the Jewish roots of my faith as I watch Journey to Zion in the future.

I am praying for Rabbi Eckstein, Israel and the peace of Jerusalem daily.

Shalom,

Kenneth
